Intern Spotlight- Shannon from UCF

Maitland Chamber welcomes Shannon Kane as a Writing Intern this Fall. Shannon is a senior attending the University of Central Florida and she looks forward to graduating with a Film BA and Creative Writing minor. Born and raised in Florida, she’s lived the longest in Saint Augustine.

Shannon applied to the Maitland Chamber internship as an opportunity to learn writing skills outside the academic setting, as well as learn about other job opportunities. 

Other than school, Shannon stays occupied working at a restaurant close to campus along with cooking, writing fiction, and watching films. Cold weather and film marathons make her happy. 

Shannon plans to attend graduate school to further her education in Creative Writing. Her career goals are spread between teaching writing at a University, writing for film or TV, or working at a production company/studio.
