    For this Business Spotlight, the Maitland Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to talk about our member SERVPRO of Maitland/Casselberry. SERVPRO specializes in the cleanup and restoration of homes and businesses after fire, smoke, or water damage. It also provides cleaning services for mold and mildew. Although their office in Maitland opened last year, SERVPRO has served the Central Florida community for over 35 years through SERVPRO Apopka-Wekiva and SERVPRO of West Orange. It is also serving other communities throughout the United States and Canada. 


    In order to provide quality services for the Maitland and Casselberry communities, the company employs 20 members of staff that undergo training at company facilities and have industry certifications from the IIRC. Their extensive knowledge is shown through their backing by one of the biggest restoration brands.

To this day, Shannon plays an active role in the company. She still answers calls for emergency services and works with office staff to assist in major emergencies. The company states that she is notable for her empathetic attitude, taking a “genuine interest in every person she speaks to.” Employees like Shannon Perez are what allow SERVPRO to enact not just quality clean-up services but also emotional support during a challenging time for a business or homeowner.

    SERVPRO prides itself in having employees like Shannon Perez be the norm rather than the exception. Showing that they care is an important facet of SERVPRO’s work. The company states that “our production staff takes the time to speak to customers and help them understand what to expect during the [] process.” Office staff also make sure to check in with customers to make sure that all questions are answered. The support doesn’t end after the clean-up. In fact, if a customer wants to file an insurance claim, SERVPRO will guide them through that process.
